Liebherr was present at the seventeenth edition of SMOPYC, the International Exhibition of Machinery for Public Works, Construction and Mining, which took place from 25th to 29th April, in Feria de Zaragoza. Gerold Dobler, Corporate Comunications of Liebherr, explained to Tunnels & Infrastructures the novelties in their earthmoving equipment range that led up to this event, as well as the future prospects they have since this company.
“On SMOPYC 2017 Liebherr is proud to present the latest equipment of its earthmoving range”, has explained Gerold Dobler. With five different exhibits from its latest generation of hydraulic excavators, dozers, reloaders and telescopic handlers.
The Liebherr A 918 Litronic wheel excavator, corresponding to the novel Tier 4f gas emission, has an operating weight of 17,600 to 19,800 kg and a motor power of 120 kW / 163 hp, being an ideal machine, as they have stated from the Company, for the classic earthmoving and for the construction of communication channels, canals and pipes.
On the other hand, Liebherr has introduced the R 946, first chain excavator that complies with the standards for level IV / Tier 4f exhaust emissions.
Another of the products that have been exposed in SMOPYC 2017 is PR 736, bulldozer of Generation 6, with an operating weight of between 20 and 25 tons. This machine has been designed to achieve greater efficiency and a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
As for the telescopic manipulator TL 432-7, this is the basic model of Liebherr telecopic manipulators. These would offer a particularly high performance thanks to its infinitely variable hydrostatic drive system as well as a robust global structure.
With the LH 24 M Litronic, Liebherr has carried a representation of small size material handling machines.
Finally, along with the Emsa dealer, has shown two representatives of the generation of XPower loader blades and a universal loader of the medium size range.
All this machines incorporate the latest technologies that the company presented first to the public one year ago, on the Bauma 2016. “And most notable, all of this machines comply with the Tier 4 Final emissions standard”, added Dobler.
“We are curious. To be honest, I’m curious too at the SMOPYC develops”, Dobler explained. “Everybody knows that the spanish market had some problems in the recent years”. But the latest informations they have show there is a rising up situation. “I’m sure that SMOPYC will be an accelerator for the on going process”, insured Dobler.
Signs after exploring each individual area of business are positives, “not in a very dinamic way, but in many cases we received very good signals for the future”, continued Gerold Dobler. So they assume that “the spanish market for construction will develop in a positive way”.
