Campo Largo facility produces 20,000th machine

Six years after its inauguration, the Building Construction Products facility in Campo Largo, Brazil, reached the historical milestone of 20,000 machines delivered. In 2011, Caterpillar arrived in Paraná state to produce small-wheel loaders and backhoe loaders. Today, Caterpillar in Campo Largo produces five different models and is expected to expand production in 2018. Last year, Campo Largo launched the 938K Wheel Loader with sugar cane application, which has already been exported to agricultural customers in Argentina.

According to Mario Prieto, Campo Largo’s director, “More important than manufacturing 20,000 machines, is operating in a safe production environment and achieving quality standards. We also ship and deliver equipment on time to our customers, with improvements in productivity and cost. We have an energized and engaged team, committed to delivering their best every day.”
