Three GENIE ® XTRA CAPACITY™ (XC™) booms for WEMO-TEC, Germany

Three GENIE ® XTRA CAPACITY™ (XC™) booms for WEMO-TEC

Operating nationwide from six branches in East Hessen, Rhine-Main and Main-Franconia, German rental specialists WEMO-tec, recently expanded its 600-unit aerial and lifting rental fleet with the addition of three Genie ® Xtra Capacity™ (XC™) telescopic booms. Models include a Genie ® SX™-135 XC and two Genie S®-45 XC units.

As part of their Genie XC features, which are common to all models of the Genie XC product range, all three boom lifts deliver a consistent two-zone lift capacity of 300 kg (660 lb) unrestricted and 454 kg (1,000 lb) restricted. As a result, the machines’ 2.44 m (8 ft) platforms offer the ability to lift two people to maximum height and three people, plus tool and materials, when operated in the 454 kg (660 lb) capacity work zone.

Helge E. Jost, Head of Department, Work Platforms and Lift Technology, WEMO-tec says: “With the addition of these three new units to our aerial fleet, we are proud to offers customers the choice of 45 telescopic booms alone with working heights from 15 m (49 ft 2 in) to 43 m (141 ft). Thanks to their increased lift capacity and optimized performance, we are expecting these new Genie XC models to offer new rental opportunities. For our customers, these models combine the benefits of increased productivity in addition to being more versatile and flexible to adapt to their specific application scenarios.”

The Genie SX-135 XC boom delivers a maximum horizontal outreach of 27.43 m (90 ft), which is 3 m (10 ft) more reach than any typical self-propelled telescopic boom of this size. Other key features include the 5.48 (18 ft) to 9.14 m (30 ft) telescoping Genie Jib-Extend™ adapted to a wide range of tasks where high precision is paramount and the Genie mini XChassis™ expanding axle design. Combining the benefits of a compact 3.94 m (12 ft 11 in) x 4.11 m (13 ft 6 in) footprint with axles extended, the Genie mini XChassis system makes for easy jobsite access and transport and simple-to-access, low-effort maintenance. 2/2

The Genie S-45 XC boom offers a working height of 15.56 m (50 ft 6 in) and a horizontal reach of 11 m (36 ft 2 in). Its active oscillating axles, permanent 4×4 drive and gradeability of 45% make it the perfect fit for rough terrain jobsites and even on gradients up to 7° with limited capacities.

These Genie XC booms also come equipped with a load sense cell that continuously checks the weight in the platform and limits the operating envelope to match the load chart, all while offering the ability to do zero-load field calibrations. They also feature automatic envelope control which allows for precise platform positioning and an enhanced operator experience.
