Innovative Iron: SV340

The SV340, CASE Construction Equipment’s largest, most powerful skid steer loader to date, has been honored with a 2016 Innovative Iron Award from Compact Equipment.

Innovative Iron Awards are presented annually, highlighting the most inventive off-highway equipment, diesel engines, hand tools and OEM services and systems released to the market. According to the magazine, “with a serious shortage of skilled workers, contractors are specifically searching for the most innovative machinery to help offset workforce woes and increase production and performance.”

Rated at 3,400 pounds operating capacity and featuring a bucket breakout force of 9,531 pounds, the new 90-horsepower vertical-lift skid steer continues the CASE tradition of building powerful operating capacities into a platform that is easy to use for operators in all industries.

Ideal for running demanding, high productivity attachments, the SV340 offers optional high-flow (38.7 gpm at 3,450 psi) and enhanced high-flow (35 gpm at 4,000 psi) auxiliary hydraulics. Heavy-duty 14 x 17.5 tires, additional counterweights and a long wheelbase provide a stable platform for high production and heavy attachments.

The SV340 offers one of the widest cabs in the industry and the lowest entry threshold for easy access and greater visibility down to the bucket edge or attachment. The cab-forward design, large rear window, and ultra-narrow wire side screens provide best-in-class 360-degree visibility.

The SV340 also features CASE’s easy-tilt cab for convenient access to the drivetrain compartment, and all routine service points are located at the rear of the machine for simplified maintenance. The 90 HP FPT engine with SCR+DOC technology maximizes uptime by avoiding the cost and hassle of DPF aftertreatment systems.
