Epiroc Italia @ Samoter Verona 2023

The Epiroc area at SaMoTer 2023 will be mainly dedicated to the range of hydraulic demolition equipment without forgetting the company’s important role in the drilling sector.

At Epiroc booth – Hall 10, Booth G3, visitors will have the opportunity to see some of the most innovative and high-performance equipment of the hydraulic attachment tools range such as grapples, crushers, shears, cutters and, of course, hydraulic breakers.

Below is information on the main Epiroc equipment on display at SaMoTer.

New model added to successful V Cutter range – VC 2000

With its V-shaped design, the latest drum cutter from Epiroc sets a new standard in trenching and quarrying. A seemingly simple solution with an extraordinary effectiveness – enabling energy savings of up to 40 %. In a world where advanced technology evolves in an unprecedented pace it feels reassuring that some revolutionary product development is self-explanatory.

The reliability, robustness, and ease of use of the Epiroc drum cutters have been taken to a new level with the VC 2000. Thanks to the V-shaped design, that enables a cut with a flat base, no material is left untouched between the drums. Where a regular drum cutter must move side to side to create an even trench, an approach that causes extra wear on the carrier arm, the VC 2000 can reach the same result by just going straight.

The distinguishing features of the classic Epiroc drum cutters, like the robust spur gears, adoptable high torque gear motor and the QuickSnap retaining system for fast and easy pick changing, are all to be found in the new VC 2000. HATCON™, a monitoring system that keeps track of operating hours, location and service intervals and presents that data on virtually any screen via MyEpiroc is another option that will increase the overall effectiveness.

Pulverizer DP 1820 with HATCON™ – NEW!

Epiroc introduces the newest addition to its range of pulverizers for the demolition of concrete structures. Completely revised design, improved performance, and wider choice of versions.

The DP 1820 pulverizer bring the EPIROC demolition standard to a new level and is suitable for both primary and secondary demolition, enabling lower operating and investment costs.

In areas where the use of hydraulic breakers is not possible, the new Epiroc pulverizer is an important alternative.

On the pulverizer range it is of course possible to apply HATCON™, the device that enables remote monitoring of the machine, allowing all essential usage data to be at hand.

Pulverizer BP 1650 R with HATCON™ – NEW!

Epiroc has now expanded its Bulk Pulverizer range with a smaller model. Secondary demolition is becoming increasingly important on smaller jobsites and the new BP 1650 is effective solutions for secondary breaking of demolition debris and separation of concrete and rebar. It is also a profitable choice for recycling stations and scrapyards.

Suitable for carriers in the weight class 14-23 tons, the new BP 1650 weighs 1 720 kg and has a maximum jaw opening of 760 mm.

As with the other Bulk Pulverizers in the range, when developing the BP 1650, Epiroc focused on fast, effective operation, minimum maintenance, and long lifetime, all of which help reduce total cost of ownership.

As options they can be equipped with Epiroc’s HATCON™ connectivity tool and a water spraying system.

Hydraulic breaker SB 1102

A new model with an operating weight of 1060 kg completes the historic SB breaker range for demolition and renovation, construction, and earthmoving work. The SB 1102 demolition breaker provides high productivity and efficiency on the construction site, completing the range of medium-sized breakers offered by Epiroc.

The unique Solid Body concept eliminates weaker components found on traditional breakers such as driving elements and tie rods in favor of longer life and lower operating costs due to the tapered, compact and lightweight design.

The EnergyRecovery system automatically uses energy generated by piston recoil to increase percussion performance and reduce vibration levels. Maintenance-free, high-pressure accumulator with a patented diaphragm ensures consistent performance and maximum reliability. The full-guide floating bushing with patented tool clamping system enables easy and quick on-site tool replacement.

Multi Grapple MG 400

Excellent for handling the most difficult material and light demolition on the construction site. The MG 400 multi grapple is designed to perform all tasks of loading and sorting various materials and light demolition of wooden and brick material structures on the construction site with maximum comfort and minimum environmental impact.

Epiroc Italia @ Samoter Verona 2023 - 2

All this is possible thanks to the full 360° hydraulic rotation that makes precise handling of all kinds of materials and the HARDOX blades that ensure a solid grip and constant closing force. Side cover blades for handling finer material and a set of teeth for handling more difficult material can be mounted on this grapple, up to the MG 1500 model.

Hydraulic breaker working tools on demand: Pick your own size!

Epiroc has now added a “tool on demand” concept to its supply of top-quality working tools for hydraulic breakers. Sometimes standard working tools are not enough – special applications often require a longer or shorter working tool or a special material.

High temperature applications require working tools in heat resistant vanadium steel. Other applications require longer tools or special shapes.

With Epiroc, you can now order exactly what you need, in the size of your choice, with a variety of tool tip geometries. “Tool on demand” offers high flexibility based on applications or customer preferences. All lengths and shapes are available, just pick your own size.

Epiroc’s EU certified Bio Chisel Paste

The formulation of Epiroc´s Bio Chisel Paste is approved by the European commission for use in environmentally sensitive applications under certificate DE/027/243. As part of Epiroc’s aim to help protect the environment, all new Epiroc hydraulic breakers are delivered with Epiroc Bio Chisel Paste as standard.

Used to grease the wear bushings in the breakers, Epiroc Bio Chisel Paste is based on special synthetic esters that are easily biodegradable and tailor-made for hydraulic breakers. The paste helps prevent bushing wear and prolongs the life cycle of the tool. The paste has high load carrying characteristics with very good separation capacity and gives excellent performance across a wide range of temperatures, from –30°C up to +1,100°C.

Epiroc Bio Chisel Paste is suitable for automatic lubrication on Epiroc hydraulic breakers with ContiLubeTM II Micro or ContiLubeTM II, or for manual greasing with a grease gun on Epiroc or any other breakers.

FlexiROC T15 R

The FlexiROC T15 R is a compact, self-propelled, four-wheel drive drill rig that weighs in at 3 570 kg. It has a 360 degrees mechanical roll-over feed beam, and the entire re-pinning operation takes only 180 seconds.

With a long, horizontal reach that can drill 27–51 mm (1″–2″) holes where you want them, this versatile machine is the perfect choice for demanding small construction jobs, dimension stone industry, and unique applications such as self-drilling anchors and boulder blasting.
