From 30 November to 1 December, GR-EX 22 will be a magnet for leading international experts participating in the World Congress.
The sector’s leading fair is on its way: GR-EX Global Robot Expo, to take place from 1 November to 30 December at IFEMA MADRID, coinciding with the GR-EX World Congress. The most exciting trade event for industry 4.0, robotics and artificial intelligence is returning to Madrid with its hallmark networking spaces, numerous top-level attendees and unique business opportunities during the two-day occasion.
After closing the deal between GR-EX Global Robot Expo and its new partner, IFEMA MADRID, with which it will co-organise this great technology extravaganza, the event is in a position to keep growing and adding to a successful track record. The organisational structure and expertise of the institution in Madrid heralds a new stage during which it will become the main international event for this specialist sector, and a crucial tool for business development in the sector.
Two international conferences and the most extensive digital industrial innovation community
With the aim of becoming an established industry benchmark, the organisation is introducing several innovations to the 2022 edition. Firstly, it will be hosting two international conferences attended by high-level companies and experts; the perfect space to do business.
The first of these is the GR-EX World Congress, a congress and exhibition where visitors will find innovations for industry and advanced manufacturing, and where the spotlight will be on digitisation, automation, industrial robotics and innovations in logistics and intra-logistics.
The congress will have an area dedicated to new robotic applications and technologies outside factories that are already starting to dominate everyday life in diverse sectors such as medicine, agriculture, the environment, transport, emergencies, security, aerospace and energy.
Likewise, the first edition of the international GR-EX Intelligence congress will showcase innovations in artificial intelligence. Visitors will discover all the possibilities of this technology to transform businesses in areas such as sales, marketing and process automation, but also in innovative applications for a wealth of sectors, such as robotics, health, industry, transport and smart cities.
In 2022, the GR-EX World Congress will also unite the largest digital community in industry 4.0, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence. GR-EX LIVEConnect is a totally business-focused platform, where sponsors, exhibitors and visitors can promote themselves, interact, share and obtain knowledge, all in a virtual environment, specialised in the innovative sectors of GR-EX making it a top event for the sector.

A strategic opportunity that promotes entrepreneurship, technology transfer and digitisation
The most innovative section of the event will be the GR-EX Startup Summit, a new area, also launched in this 2022 edition, aimed at open innovation and entrepreneurship, where innovative startups and projects can make contact with large corporations and investors hungry for technological solutions and opportunities.
Lastly, GR-EX leads the ROBOT-CAM project, funded by the General Directorate of Research and Technological Innovation of the Community of Madrid, which includes some of the most outstanding associations in the innovative sectors at the event, such as AER Automation, Hisparob, the RoboCity2030 consortium and AEPIA. This project will allow the event to encourage technological innovation and technology transfers to the productive sector. The GR-EX Liaison Entity will participate in several benchmark international forums and fairs such as MOTORTEC Madrid, Global Mobility Call and Fruit Attraction, among others, as well as the international GR-EX Global Robot Expo event.
