As part of an order signed at bauma in April, Terex AWP is proud to announce the delivery of the first units among a broad mix of 58 Genie boom lifts and scissor lifts to its customer Eurogrues, Morocco. This order significantly increases the company’s offering adapted to safe work at height to support the needs of Morocco’s rapidly expanding construction sector.
As Morocco’s leading lift, access and materials handling rental provider, Eurogrues is present in a wide field of large-scale port development, power plant, wind and industrial construction projects, many of which are backed by European-based multinational investors. “Safety is a key focus, and with this new Genie order our company is now ready to provide the industry-leading equipment our customers rely on to work at height, adapted to both their specific needs and industry safety standards,” says Mr. Hatim Jaadour, Sales Director, Eurogrues Morocco.
The deal includes a wide choice of all-electric and diesel-powered Genie GS™ scissor lifts and Genie ZX™ and Genie Z™ articulating boom lifts, with working heights ranging from 8 m to 43 m. Deliveries began at the beginning of July.
Regarding the year of consultation and negotiation that took place prior to signing the order, Mr José Antonio Moreno, Managing Director, Eurogrues Morocco, says, “In addition to the best-in-class capabilities and quality of the products, we were impressed by the advice provided by the Genie team. It is easy to see why Genie is one of today’s world-leading mobile access brands. This first order marks the beginning of what we expect to be a long-term relationship as Eurogrues continues to expand its Genie fleet to maintain its leadership position in Morocco.”
Christophe Rousseau, Sales Director for Southern Europe, Northern and Central Africa inTerex AWP, comments: “We are honoured by the trust that Eurogrues has decided to put into our equipment and services, choosing Terex AWP as their preferred mobile access equipment manufacturer. Genie Team Members across different departments have worked hard for a whole year to put together a comprehensive and tailored offer, including not only equipment which is safe to operate, but also a complete services package to help maintaining it safe. Technical training and technical support on site in Morocco, as well as our web-based parts system shipping components within 24 hours, have been key for Genie to qualify as a reliable business partner for Eurogrues.”
“This order stands for the most significant investment in new aerials ever signed in Morocco,” continues Rousseau. “We are proud Genie could be part of it and are confident this new business relationship will help support the culture of safety at height in the construction industry in Morocco.”
