eMobility Expo World Congress 2023, the future of sustainable mobility industry
Valencia will host eMobility Expo World Congress 2023 in March, the largest international innovation event for the sustainable mobility industry.
eMobility Expo World Congress 2023, the largest global innovation event for the electrified, autonomous, connected, and sustainable mobility industry, takes off in Valencia, Spain from 21-23 March 2023. Over three days, eMobility Expo World Congress will bring together more than 5,000 professionals eager to discover the latest trends, vehicles, and technology solutions to boost the mobility of the future towards a smarter and more sustainable one.
Today, emissions from the mobility and transport sector account for 25% of total EU greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, the European Commission has set a target of reducing 55% of net greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. In response to these challenges and with the aim of contributing to the development of safer, smarter, more sustainable, connected and autonomous mobility, eMobility Expo World Congress is born.
For three days, the global event will bring together all the stakeholders of the whole mobility at Valencia. More than 170 exhibiting firms specialising in micro mobility, value chain of the automotive, technology, manufacturers, batteries, charging systems, new fuel sources such as hydrogen or biofuel, products for automated and autonomous driving, automotive components, logistics, aeronautics, rail and shipbuilding, together with start-ups that are revolutionising the sector, will present their latest innovations and solutions to transform mobility from now on.

Valencia, an international hub for sustainable mobility
Valencia, the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona, has become in recent years a very attractive destination in which major companies and industries linked to mobility are investing. One example of this is Volkswagen, which recently announced the construction in an area near Valencia of its gigafactory of batteries. Thus, the region’s objective is to become the sustainable mobility hub of southern Europe, and for this reason, eMobility Expo World Congress will be established and will grow in Valencia.
In this sense, the President of the Valencian Government, Ximo Puig, highlighted in the event presentation that “eMobility Expo World Congress will contribute to amplify what is happening in the Valencian Region in terms of mobility. We will make this territory a reference in the global debate on trends and technologies of the future of transport, considering the most important companies in the world, some of which are based here”. Puig added that “we will do all of this in order to make the Valencia Region the sustainable mobility hub of southern Europe”.
Alfons Westgeest, President of the Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery Manufacturers EUROBAT, has predicted that the Valencia region has a “bright future as a clean energy hub” and has announced that the Eurobat Battery Convention 2023 will be held for the first time in Spain within the framework of the eMobility Expo World Congress. “This will be a space for closer dialogue with key players in the battery sector in the European Union and will involve the entire industrial sector and the supply chain,” explained the president.
Finally, the Mayor of Valencia, Joan Ribó, also wanted to highlight the city’s commitment to sustainable mobility, its positioning to attract international investment, and for being “the capital that has made the greatest commitment to its own transformation by promoting environmentally responsible modes of transport”. Moreover, in Ribó’s words, “there is no doubt that Valencia is an exceptional city for holding congresses and has the spaces and buildings to hold international events of this type”.
